The Grodzisk Centre for Social Activation and Integration serves as a hub for a diverse range of cultural, artistic, and sports events, conferences, meetings, and training sessions for local sports clubs. Its expansive facilities, including a sports and entertainment hall spanning over 2000 m², cater to a wide array of activities. Furthermore, the Centre's integration with the neighbouring primary school through a glazed connector facilitates the daily use of its rooms and sports hall by students, promoting shared resources and community integration.

Tailored Acoustics and Professional Collaboration

The Centre owes its excellent acoustics to the meticulous selection of Rockfon solutions, including over 1100 acoustic Rockfon Eclipse ceiling islands. Architect Paweł Tiepłow emphasises the importance of acoustics in such facilities, stating, "In this type of facility, acoustics are very important, and the wide range of uses of the main hall makes it necessary to adapt it to different requirements and expectations." The Eclipse islands not only meet these requirements but also allow for efficient airflow above the ceiling, reducing the need for additional ventilation or separate fire detectors.

To achieve optimal speech intelligibility for educational and conference settings, as well as exceptional acoustics for concerts, entertainment, and sporting events, a specialised acoustic solution was implemented. Emilia Rutkowska, Project Manager of the main contractor, Skanska S.A., lauds the collaboration with Rockfon, stating, "The choice of Rockfon products was the best solution in this case, thanks to the fulfilment of design requirements, visual value, as well as professional technical advice."

In addition to the main sports hall, Rockfon acoustic ceilings were incorporated into two additional sports halls, as well as administrative and social rooms and cloakrooms. The carefully selected Rockfon Blanka sound-absorbing acoustic tiles, with their ultramatt, smooth, perfectly white surface and high light reflection and diffusion performance, ensure optimal acoustics in these areas. Meanwhile, the common areas of the building are adorned with Rockfon Tropic ceiling tiles, offering aesthetic appeal and a cohesive design throughout the facility.

Exquisite Interior Design and Architectural Marvels

The architectural design of the Centre showcases modernity and modularity. The compact main body of the building, complemented by protruding blocks, exudes dynamism and contemporary aesthetics. Notably, the Centre features a 33-metre tower housing a fully automatic, mobile, semi-professional astronomical observatory—an attraction that captivates visitors. The façades of the Centre embrace a modular layout, with multifunctional rooms suspended above the ground on reinforced concrete drawers, adding intrigue to the architectural composition.

By investing in state-of-the-art infrastructure and fostering collaboration between different sectors, the Centre exemplifies the power of creating versatile spaces that unite people and drive social integration and development.
