In Supercell's state-of-the-art 13,000 square meter office space, the well-being of the staff has been taken into account in every possible way. This is evidenced by, among other things, carefully designed lighting and acoustics.

Several Rockfon acoustic products were installed in the office building, forming fine uniform surfaces. The most significant, however, is Rockfon's oven-fresh product, Rockfon Blanka As, which implemented an acoustic suspended ceiling surface of more than 5,000 square meters.

Rockfon's regional sales manager Tommi Loiri says the new product piloted in Wood City proved to be a success. The new Rockfon Blanka As adhesive now completes Rockfon's product range of suspended ceiling and wall damping panels.

- Wood City was a pilot project for Blanka As and proved to be a great reference for it. At Rockfon, we are grateful that the product selection was successful in good cooperation with the architect, the client and the contractor.

The white surface effectively reflects indirect light

Interior acoustics and natural light are researched important elements for well-being and comfort and a big part of today’s office design. The indirect lighting of the Wood City office building was designed specifically for the needs of Supercell’s encoders. Acoustics, light reflectance, and lighting had to work seamlessly together.

- The architect's view was that the surface should be uniform, white and reflect light as well as possible, says Pekka Kuvaja, foreman of the site's contractor, Rakenne-Tikka Oy.

For the open office, the contractor had originally thought of Koral, but the client fell in love with Blanka’s white color.

- We also gave a competitor's products as an alternative, but Rockfon took the win. The surface is beautiful and calm looking. I believe that the customer is satisfied, Kuvaja states.

- Because the site has indirect lighting, Rockfon Blanka fits the whole thing particularly well and adds value to it. Rockfon's product can create both the best acoustic attenuation class and light reflection, because it is the whiteest wool-based acoustic board on the market, Tommi Loiri adds.

Janne Saarinen, Supercell's project manager, confirms that the target acoustic values for the premises were set high.

- High-quality workspaces are our thing. We set out to aim for Class A acoustics throughout the office building, and Rockfon’s products were suitable for our uses. I believe that we are at the forefront of acoustic implementation compared to other similar office buildings, Saarinen says.

The location of the screen in a unique item

Blanka As boards with a painted edge have a smooth, matt and off-white special surface that repels dirt and makes the product long-lasting. The core made of stone wool also raises the product to the best possible A1 fire class.

Other acoustic panels selected for the site also gained their rights in the environment. Several Rockfon products were installed in the hallways, kitchen, lounge and restaurant, including the Color-All Special colored board. Matte alternatives suitable for the whole were found in the color selection of the support and edge strips.

- This was a unique, memorable destination for many reasons. Wood City is a very modern office building and a major destination. At the same time, we had a new product that we got to pilot. That was a big deal for us. We are very pleased with the positive feedback the product has received, Tommi
