Rockfon solutions in various shapes, colours, and textures transform the office space into a dynamic environment with acoustic innovation.
Accommodating a variety of working styles with comfort
Comodo Group previously collaborated on ROCKWOOL GBS offices in Warsaw for earlier phases in Poznań. For the fourth floor, they engaged employees in a participatory process. “We conducted an audit among employees, who told us how they perceive their own offices. We also worked with groups who presented their ideas on boards", says Krzysztof Draber, interior architect at Comodo Group.
The layout includes semi-partitioned work areas for 70 employees, three uniquely-designed conference rooms, and dining and relaxation zones styled like casual cafés. Circulation spaces act as gateways, creating a dynamic experience throughout the office. Biophilic design is integrated through organic surfaces, raw materials, moss walls, and suspended ceiling plants to bring nature indoors.
Acoustic comfort was essential not only for employee health but also to serve as a live showroom for Rockfon, part of ROCKWOOL group. Rockfon solutions absorb sound and enhance visual appeal, demonstrating the multifaceted benefits of stone wool. Each solution contributes to lowering reverberation and maintaining acoustic comfort in a modern, open-plan office.
The acoustic solutions installed include Rockfon Senses acoustic wall panels, which add organic texture, and Rockfon Lamella slats in Light Oak and Smoked Oak, providing warmth and acoustic absorption in corridors. Rockfon Canva Wall panels feature removable canvases showcasing images from ROCKWOOL’s global production sites across cities like Ploiesti, Romania and Milton, Canada, connecting acoutic design with storytelling.
Rockfon Color-all acoustic ceiling tiles in Azure and Mint extend wall colours into ceilings for a monochromatic effect in meeting rooms. In the dining and relaxation areas, Rockfon Eclipse islands in Circle and Triangle shapes contrast against the black ceilings, enhancing the industrial aesthetic. Rockfon Canva Floor screens create flexible partitions, while Rockfon Universal Baffles intersect with moss strips.
Depending on their colour, shape, size, and placement, the acoustic solutions either bring in dramatic appeal or otherwise gently flow into the design. Regardless of their level of visual impact, they each absorb unwanted office sounds, minimise reverbation, and deliver excellent acoustic comfort for maximised employee well-being and health.
