Designing with people and planet in mind
Designing out waste
Our suspended ceilings are inherently modular, meaning that damaged tiles can be removed and replaced during the life of the building.
We work to design all our products in this way, allowing for repairs or upgrades to extend the life of the solution and reduce waste.
We also ensure our products can be demounted for reuse or recycling at end of life.
Developing low carbon solutions
In 2025, we developed the industry’s first lower emissions grid to include all painted components, reducing the grid’s embodied carbon by approximately 50 percent.
The transition of our stone wool factories to electric melting means that we can produce tiles with some of the lowest embodied carbon figures of any mineral wool ceiling tile.
Contributing to healthy indoor environments
All Rockfon products have low release of VOC emissions, supporting optimised indoor air quality.
Within our portfolio, various Rockfon products have been awarded demanding indoor climate labels like the French VOC A+, Finnish M1, Blue Angel, Singapore Green Building Product Certificate, and the Danish Indoor Climate Label.
No compromise on performance
Thanks to the fibrous structure of stone wool, most Rockfon acoustic solutions achieve Class A sound absorption.
Beyond acoustics, the material is inherently non-combustible for fire safety, highly durable, and hydrophobic – resisting mould, micro-organisms, and sagging to contribute to safer buildings.
