Does fire performance depend on the full ceiling or wall system?
It depends on which fire performance you mean:
If you mean reaction to fire (Euroclass A1–F), this is typically declared for the product (and performance can vary by product variant/finish).
If you mean fire resistance (EI30, EI60, etc.), this is classified for the complete installation. For example: A ceiling tile + grid + suspension + perimeter detailing + any fixings + integrations (lights, vents, access panels).
Small changes in the installation can affect the fire resistance. Which is why 'EI performance' is handled as a system classification.
