A new HQ where sustainability meets comfort.
Introducing acoustic comfort and natural tones into SABA's new energy-neutral head office.
Rockfon Color-all tiles were installed Seaweed, a dark green that is one of 34 curated shades available for the range.
Merging two locations into one without compromising what matters.
For over 90 years, the Dutch company SABA has been developing and producing high-quality adhesives and sealants for construction and industrial applications. SABA’s headquarters were previously spread across two locations in the Netherlands.
To bring all activities under one roof, a new complex designed by Te Kiefte Architecten merges production, offices, and laboratories into a single location in the city of Dinxperlo.
But moving into one building was only part of the challenge. The bigger question was how to make that building genuinely work for the people inside it.
Where sustainability meets people
Sustainability is at the heart of SABA's business. Guided by two UN Sustainable Development Goals around resilient infrastructure and responsible production, the new headquarters had to live up to that.
With 1,812 solar panels, roof plants, and a smart climate system, the office is energy-neutral, generating enough power for both the offices and the production facility next door.
But sustainability alone doesn’t make a great place to work.
A building can hit its environmental target and still be unpleasant to spend the day in. SABA's new HQ has spacious meeting rooms, high ceilings, busy corridors, and laboratories. Each designed for their own purpose, but without the right acoustic strategy, they generate noise. And noise is a productivity killer. It builds slowly, and by the end of the day it has cost people more than they realise.
It's why architect Te Kiefte Architecten, installer Fleurbaaij Totaal Afbouw, and Rockfon worked together to make sure the acoustics were right from the start.

Rockfon Color-all®
ViewRockfon Color-All tiles control reverberation so speech stays clear even in crowded meetings.
Rockfon Pallas prevents build-up of unwanted sound reflections in busy corridors.
Rockfon Cleanspace Pro controls noise and meets strict hygiene requirements for focused lab work.
The sloped timber construction called for a specially angled suspension. For a continuous and clean look, Seaweed Color-all tiles sit in a Chicago Metallic grid with matching Seaweed profiles. White Pallas or Cleanspace Pro tiles in white profiles.
“These extra narrow profiles make the lines as subtle as possible. This requires more precision when installing the ceilings but has led to a particularly beautiful end result.”

A result worth celebrating
SABA's new headquarters was officially inaugurated in 2022 with a global employee celebration and a public open day. A fitting way to celebrate what had been achieved: a building that is energy-neutral, acoustically comfortable, and designed around the people who use it every day.
Merging two locations like this is never just a logistics exercise. It's a chance to build something better. A place that reflects what a company stands for and gives its people the environment they deserve.
Is your next project an opportunity to do the same? Rockfon brings together acoustic expertise, quality products, and a circular mindset to help you create spaces that genuinely work for the people in them.
