Over six years, Kingsley Napley explored how a shift from cellular to open-plan working could serve its 400+ employees. Before consolidating its three offices, the firm ran pilot refurbishments to test design ideas. The eventual move to Twenty Bonhill in Shoreditch marked a turning point—creating a single, unified workspace across six floors with flexibility, collaboration and recruitment in mind.

At the centre of the new office is a double-height reception designed to convey clarity, confidence and calm. To achieve this, BPC Interiors and installation partner Pacy & Wheatley specified Rockfon Mono Acoustic for the ceilings. The seamless surface supports the space’s clean architectural lines, while delivering Class A sound absorption—essential in a busy law firm where discretion and clarity are both critical.

The system combines acoustic control with design freedom, allowing lighting, audio and mechanical services to be integrated without visual clutter. The high-performance surface does not reveal the services behind, even under direct sunlight or downlights—a key concern in reception areas. The ceiling’s durability and humidity resistance ensure it remains stable and clean in high-traffic zones.
