Acoustic solutions for bright, modern workspaces
Renovating a headquarters is more than a design upgrade—it’s a statement of how a company supports its people. For Electricité de Strasbourg, that meant rethinking the soundscape. Rockfon Mono Acoustic was chosen not only for its clean, monolithic look, but also for its ability to soften noise across open, shared spaces – helping turn old, closed rooms into places where people can focus, collaborate and feel at ease.
Architect Anne-Laure Better worked closely with acoustic consultants to balance comfort and character in every room. The aim was to preserve the building’s integrity while introducing materials that would feel warm, not clinical. Rockfon Mono Acoustic delivered on both fronts – its seamless surface reduced echo, supported concentration and allowed the lighting and AV systems to fade quietly into the background.
The top floor presented a challenge. Under the sloping eaves, precision was key. Thanks to its flexibility, Rockfon Mono Acoustic adapted to the unique ceiling geometry without compromising performance. STAM Acoustique, a certified installer, ensured a flawless finish – even around the built-in projectors and speakers – so that every room would work as well acoustically as it did visually.
The result is a workplace that sounds as good as it looks. With less reverberation and clearer speech, daily interactions are smoother and more comfortable. As Daniel Wagner of Electricité de Strasbourg put it, “Our employees enjoy working in these new rooms.” When acoustic performance meets architectural simplicity, it creates space not just for work – but for wellbeing.
