Rockfon® Mono® Acoustic is an aesthetically pleasing seamless ceiling offering excellent sound absorption properties (up to αw = 1,00, Class A). We offer three different Rockfon Mono Acoustic ceiling panels for different installation purposes;
- Rockfon Mono Acoustic
Rockfon Mono Acoustic is meant for installation on a grid (suspended mounting).
Once installed, all the components form a seamless ceiling, requiring neither paint nor any additional structural elements.
With the exception of the fastening screws, all products are made specifically for the Rockfon System Mono Acoustic. Installers must use only the items described herein. The installation must be completed in accordance with the Rockfon System Mono Acoustic installation guide. To conserve the fire- and acoustical properties of Rockfon Mono Acoustic, this system can only be installed by a certified Rockfon Mono Acoustic installer.
Installation order
1. Installing the Chicago Metallic™ Monolithic grid system.
2. Installing Rockfon Mono Acoustic panels.
3. Covering panel joints with the Rockfon Mono Acoustic Tape.
4. Applying Rockfon acoustic filler to the panel joints.
a) Apply Rockfon Mono Powder Filler and thereafter finalize the filling work with a single layer of the pre-mixed and ready to use Rockfon Mono Acoustic Ready-Mix Filler (p. 15).
Note: This method will extend the total drying time, but reduces risk for less experienced installers to sand through the outer surface of the Rockfon Mono Acoustic panels by mistake.
This method is NOT compatible with Ready-Mix render in Colour.
b) Apply the Rockfon Mono Acoustic Ready-Mix Filler 'only' (p. 16).
Note: This is the ONLY method to be used in combination with Mono Acoustic Ready-Mix Render in Colour.
5. Sanding the joints.
6. Protective masking of the room: walls, floors as well as furniture.
7. Spraying the Rockfon Mono Acoustic Elegant Render (White) or the Rockfon Mono Acoustic Ready-Mix Render (Colours).
